Sorting

To change how your view is sorted, click , or pull down the View menu and click Sort Tournament Sheet.

There are 3 different types of sorting:

Teams – This sorts the order in which teams are displayed.
Players on Teams – This is the order in which players are positioned inside each team. The order in which players appear inside each team is the order they appear on any team report, scorecards, team pairing sheets, team results, etc.
Players only – the view will be displayed as just a list of players (no teams) sorted in the order you select.

You can sort the view by any items you are currently viewing on the screen. And since you can change what you are viewing on the screen at any time by clicking , this means you can sort the view by any item the program tracks.

TM allows you to sort and sub-sort up to three items deep. For example, you could sort the list by gender, then flight, then handicap.

Example: You want the entire view sorted by just player’s names. Click , check the PLAYERS ONLY option, and click OK. Select to First Sort by name and click OK.

Example: You want players inside of each team sorted by flight. Click , check the PLAYERS ON TEAMS option, and click OK. Select to sort First Sort by flight, and click OK.

Example: You want the entire view sorted by gender (female then male) and each gender sub-sorted by handicap. First load a view that shows both the player’s gender and handicap so you can sort by these items. Click . Double-click the view called (Pairings) to load it. Click , check the PLAYERS ONLY option, and click OK. Select to First Sort by sex, and Next Sort by Hcp and click OK. It is important to remember that you can only sort the view by items you are currently viewing.
