Most Improved Golfer Report

The most Improved Golfer report ranks players by the USGA improvement factor. 

The USGA factor is calculated as follows:

Factor =

(History Handicap Index + k)

-------------------------------------

(Current Handicap Index + k)

Note:  k = 12 for 18 hole indexes        k = 6 for 9 hole indexes



To run the most improved golfer report....

First calculate the dates you wish to compare handicap/indexes.


  1. Click the button.

  2. On the Calculate Handicap form, set the correct History Date and click Calculate History Handicap button.
    The History Date is the date of the old index/handicap being compared to the current index/handicap.
    See Calculating Handicaps for more info.

  3. Click the button again.

  4. Set the correct Revision Date and click Calculate Handicap for all Golfers button.

  5. To print the Most Improved Golfer report, click the Standard Report button and select Most Improved Golfer.
    Note: You can compare indexes or handicap.



Example: Let's say you want to see who had the most improvement in their handicap or Index during the period starting on January 1, 2008 and ending on December 31, 2008. Here is what you would do...


  1. Click the button.


  1. On the Calculate Handicap form, set the History Date to January 1, 2008 and click Calculate History Handicap button.


  1. Click the button again.


  1. Set the Revision Date to December 31, 2008 and click Calculate Handicap for all Golfers button.


  1. Print the Most Improved Golfer report.
